All New Subaru BRZ

Information content is displayed loud and clear on the new, 7” LCD digital display and sports-style performance gauges – with everything from power and torque curve and stopwatch to measure lap times.

Subaru BRZ is the most fun you can have getting from point A to point B, while the advanced satellite navigation system lets you keep your hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road ahead. Just tell the system where you want to go, with hands-free voice command functionality. Get there faster too (while keeping to the speed limit, of course) with live updates on traffic conditions.

The new configurable, digital instrument cluster pumps out all-important vehicle stats. The set up includes an LCD segment display, combined with Subaru's first 7" TFT LCD, for improved visibility. Important data can be easily viewed– including trip, stopwatch and EyeSight® Driver Assist information on automatic transmission variants. The sports driving feel is enhanced by the tacho and speedo displays, which change according to the driving mode selected.

An overwhelming feeling of protection is underpinned by Subaru's development of a revolutionary global platform, which drives all other models in the range. This extensive research and knowledge has been harnessed in the manufacturing and engineering which has now created the most advanced Subaru BRZ chassis ever.

Subaru BRZ also features a new full inner frame structure, plus the passenger safety cell that is designed to absorb and direct the impact of a collision around the cabin, rather than through it. Meanwhile, the horizontally-opposed Boxer engine is designed to 'submarine' under the floor during a severe frontal collision – protecting the cabin’s occupants.

In addition, the chassis structure has been engineered to include crushable zones, absorbing collision energy to effectively protect passengers. While Subaru can’t control every variable on the road, the inclusion of seven SRS¹ airbags in Subaru BRZ can help reduce the possibility of serious injury in the event of a serious accident.

Subaru's Vision Assist gives the driver a greater awareness of the world around them. Blind Spot Monitor uses radar sensors to help make lane changes safer, by warning of vehicles detected in the blind spot. And when changing lanes, the Lane Change Assist radar sensors are designed to detect fast approaching vehicles and warn the driver of their presence. While the Rear Cross Traffic Alert warns the driver if another car is detected approaching when reversing out of a car space.

Automatic variants come with the added feature of High Beam Assist1 which monitors the road ahead and automatically switches to low beam when an oncoming vehicle is detected. Plus the additional Reverse Automatic Braking¹ feature triggers a warning to alert the driver of an obstacle detected behind the vehicle and can also apply the brakes if the driver doesn’t react first.

Whatever way you look at it, the reshaped Subaru BRZ side door mirrors are designed for a more dynamic look and optimal aerodynamic efficiency. The more triangular shape results in a greater angle of view, providing improved overall visibility. The heated mirror function  keeps your mirrors clear in cold conditions plus power-folding function for added convenience.
